The Firefighter’s Toy Bank started in Hampton 31 years ago with a call to the Firefighter’s for help for a couple of families in town who needed help, The firefighters came thru, then and have stepped up every year since. From the handful of children the first year it has grown in Hampton to over a average of 250 children each year.
Dover Firefighters had their Toy Program that has been going for 35+ years and have put smiles on Thousands of children over the years that may have gone without at Christmas.
As the word was getting out about the success that Dover & Hampton were having with their Holiday programs, the program started to grow, firefighters in the other towns were starting their own programs
A number of years later, we had received a call from the Somersworth Firefighters that they did a toy program and needed some help with some toys,  after filling our needs in Hampton, we were able to fill their needs for that year. The leaders of their programs got together to discuss how we could join together to help each other, while still keeping each local toy program their own.
Out of that meeting came the Seacoast Area Firefighter’s Toy Bank consisting the Firefighters in the following Towns with Fulltime Fire Departments that are proud members of the International Assoc. of Firefighters , including  Hampton, Dover, Somersworth, Seabrook, Rochester, North Hampton, Durham, Exeter, Portsmouth, Rye, & Newington. Each year collectively we help hundreds of families with between 2500 and 3000 children throuhout the Seacoast.
All this has started with a call to the Firefighters with a request for help. Our program would not be successful  without your Local Firefighters, and generosity of many local businesses and you the local citizens, who each year step up and support  our Toy Bank Program
